José Manuel García-Quílez Gómez is a partner at Zurbarán Abogados and cohead of the Litigation Department. His practice areas within the firm focus on Civil Law, Commercial Law, Civil Litigation, Arbitration, and Criminal Litigation.
Graduated in Law from the University of Seville’s Faculty of Law (class of 1992), he continued his training with Doctoral courses in the Procedural Law and Commercial Law Departments within the Faculty of Law of the University of Seville (1992-1993).
He has been practicing law since 1992. Before founding Zurbarán Abogados in 2018, he practiced law at Bores & Corradini. He was a founding partner of the successor company of that firm, Bores & Cía Abogados, incorporated in 2001, dissociating himself from it in 2009 to establish García-Quílez Abogados. In 2012 he joined Montero Aramburu Law Firm, where he was an associate until 2018.
In the academic field, he is an associate professor of Commercial Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Seville, where he began teaching in 1993. In addition, he is a professor of the Master’s Degree in Corporate Legal Advisory Services at the Cajasol Institute of Studies and a professor of the Master’s Degree in Law at the University of Seville’s Faculty of Law. He is also a professor in the Master’s Degree in Corporate, Tax, and Labor Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Seville. He has also been a professor in the Forensic Practice Course of the Bar Association of Seville, in the Master’s Degree in Law Program at Pablo de Olavide University, and in other postgraduate courses, as well as in different Master’s degrees at Loyola Andalucía University.
He is a regular speaker at various courses and seminars related to his practice areas and the author of several doctrinal publications.
