Ricardo Astorga Morano is managing partner at Zurbarán Abogados, in charge of the Commercial Law Department. His areas of practice within the department focus on Corporate Law, civil litigation, and arbitration.
He received his Law degree from the University of Seville (class of 1992), specializing in corporate law. Subsequently, he attended the Master’s Degree in Corporate Legal Advisory Services at the Cajasol Institute of Studies (class of 1993), where he was first in his class. After completing his Master’s degree, he took doctoral courses at the Commercial Law Department of the University of Seville Law School (1993-1994).
He has been practicing law since 1993. Before founding Zurbarán Abogados in 2018, he was a lawyer and associate in the law firm of Olivencia-Ballester and an associate at Montero Aramburu.
He is Secretary of the Board of Directors of listed and unlisted companies in a wide range of sectors (real estate, engineering, infrastructure, concessions, and hotels, among others) and Secretary of relevant foundations in the field of innovation and business entrepreneurship. He is also an assistant arbitrator at the Association for the Practice of Mediation and Arbitration (ASEMARB).
In the academic field, he is an associate professor of Commercial Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Seville, where he began teaching in 1993. He is also director and professor of the Master’s Degree in Corporate Legal Advisory Services Program at the Cajasol Institute of Legal and Business Studies and professor of the Master’s Degree in Law and the Master’s Degree in Corporate, Tax, and Labor Law at the University of Seville. He has also been a professor in the Forensic Practice Course of the Bar Association of Seville, in the Master’s Degree in Law at Pablo de Olavide University, and in other postgraduate courses at the same University. He has taught different Master’s degree courses at Loyola University.
He is a regular speaker at various courses and seminars related to his practice areas and the author of several doctrinal publications.
